Free Contraception has been the single biggest reducer of Abortions. It correlates directly with the states that implement it. Abstinence simply does not work.
Religio-nutters are even manipulating media (like Google) - like this sicko - under the guise of valid articles (on closer inspection its not a genuine site, it is an extreme christian opinion blog, but ranks 5th in my google search, just beneath the Guardian:

Media is being so heavily manipulated it is insane... we need laws to protect and disinfect the whole media in my humble opinion. It is becoming too heavily distorted now and western civilisation no less is becoming absorbed by personality-poltics instead of education and accomplishment - while all other continents speed up and overtake the west.
What brought the west ahead of all others and the reason it is copied the world over - in the first place was simply the scientific enlightnement, separation of church and state that logically followed and ebracement of education, science and technology that flourished after it.
I actually think its becoming a social necessity to take any person who seeks to impose their religious ideals on others, and retro-actively abort them.
