People of Reddit with scars, what is your worst story behind them?

My nose looks like someone tried to cut it off, I blocked out most of my memory, I only recall before and after.

But what little I do recall helped me prove that the story I was told and told others wasn't true, that I hurt myself playing around under the table in the kitchen.

I was about 7 at the time, it completely changed my attitude for the rest of my life (i.e. no eye contact, shy, low self-esteem).

My dad also had an affinity for cutting open wounds with his pocket knife on us kids, like he thought he had to take the puss out and anything that wasn't regular fleshy tone. He turned a small wound on my brother's arm into a massive scar by doing this.
