People who have discovered a dead body, what's your story?

My mom has actually found two bodies. Wasn't going to share, but there's so few stories here.

First one, my details probably aren't accurate since I wasn't there. She went out with her boyfriend (volunteer fireman) for the weekend. Boyfriend had a roommate living with him. They come back to his house, they open the door and smell something strange. She's laying on the couch next to an empty bottle of pills. She was probably laying there for about 48 hours before they found her.

Second one she found, we lived in an apartment complex. Something smells a bit weird downstairs for a couple days, but we overlook it. Guy upstairs was a fairly decent friend of us. Comes downstairs and asks my mom to go upstairs and see if she smells anything funny. She goes about halfway up the stairs, and recognizes the smell, and immediately calls the cops. Cops get there, get the door open, run downstairs toward the dumpster, and start gagging. They confirm there is a dead body, and call the appropriate people to take him away. By the time the ambulance gets there, I am outside. I see the window open of where an ~80 year old man used to live, and a ton of flies buzzing around up there. Then I start to smell the worst smell I have ever smelled. Decomposing body smells terrible when it has been sitting in the heat like that.

They put big industrial fans through the hallway to get the air out. At this point I'm about 150 feet away from the window/front door. The smell is still there, but not as bad. We stay outside chatting with the neighbors and cops until the body finally gets put into the back of the ambulance and the smell went away. We found out later on that he was found on the ground, they assume it was a heart attack or something similar. It was estimated that he was dead for about 10 days. He had minimal family, but they all lived a few states away.

TL:DR One was suicide by pills, other was old man who was found dead in his living room (ironic...) after 10 days.
