People who have ghosted friends permanently: Why did you do it?

Because he was infatuated with me, also a guy.

He was My best friend, but he couldn't just be that. Jealous of my girlfriend, regularly asking if I'd consider giving him a "friendly" handy.

One day I got pissed off over some comment, inappropriate but not worse than he'd asked before and it was just a case of well that's how it's always going to be.. so that was it. We had an argument, and then silent treatments that just never stopped. Just stopped speaking for a week, month, then years went by. I'd see him daily, we were in lots of the same classes, we had some very close mutual friends. It got pretty intense avoiding each other.

Everyone I knew decided I was a homophobe, i let it go as it was easier and cooler (different times) to let that be the case, but I'd known he was gay for like a year beforehand. It was just not possible for him to just be my friend.

He seems like he's happy now.
