People who grew up with VHS, what are some of your fondest memories?

I am from Romania. In 2000 my parents left for England to find work and my sister and I stayed with with grandparents. I was about 11 years old and big on watching movies. In 2001 they sent me one of those 15in TVs with incorporated VHS player and more than 100 VHS tapes. They also sent me tens of boxes of cereal

I used to eat them without milk while watching them. There were no subtitles so sometime I had to take it easy just so I can listen carefully as I had a minimum knowledge in English. It was great being able to select any movie you wanted. Took me less time to choose a movie than it does now on Netflix.
