I was bullied between 6-9th grade by quite a few guys on the football team a year or two older than I. They didn’t beat me up all the time or anything like that, they’d spray cologne in my face or try to hit me in the nuts in the hallways or at lunch walking by, poke me with pencils and call me names. Messed with my clothes in the locker room and would wipe nasty food on them. It didn’t last long into high school though. By 10th grade I was way bigger and stronger than them and waay better at football. Also had way more friends because I was nice to everyone. I just stayed away from them when I could, that helped my peace of mind.

I only know of one of them that turned out to have a pretty successful and happy life thus far, and he was also the only one that ever apologized for the way he had been to me. All the others have been in and out of jail or on drugs, one got a statutory rape charge I think but not 100% certain on that.
