Physicians, what are some strange complaints you've heard multiple times without a good explanation (and never seem to go on to cause a serious problem)?

months. last time he took what we call a ‘T break’ it was for 6 months. in that period, he started a new job which required him to work nights. on a few occasions, he came home from work at 7am and ate a large meal. he would fall asleep right after and wake up with diarrhea and nausea and would complain about epigastric pain. he described it as a bolus stuck in his chest. the cold sweats would come and the retching. once he puked up breakfast, he’d fall asleep. an hour or two later he would wake up perfectly fine but in a huge puddle of sweat.

there was another episode after an intense lifting session at the gym. he had a post work out shake and started walking home. After two blocks, the retching started. protein puke all over the sidewalk. got home, puked again and fell asleep. woke up in a huge puddle of sweat.

another episode he had during the ‘T break’ happened after he played a football game (two handed rough touch) and then played a friendly pick up game of basketball. as we walked back to the car, he started sweating and retching. pulled over so he could puke and then drove home with the heat on in the middle of summer. once he was home, he puked again and described the feeling of relief in his chest and felt fine. fell asleep. another puddle of sweat.
