Hey I have a few questions that I can't find answers to, any help would be greatly appreciated. (P.S from AUS)

Can your IP address activity be tracked once you have been caught performing some suspicious activity, for e.g lets say I download a movie and some agency has now attained my IP address, could they now just keep tabs on me and monitor my downloads until they feel satisfied with the tremendous amount money they'll eventually get off me or are they by law to report the singular incident and then leave me alone.
do you know the average time it takes to receive a letter from an agency about your suspicious activity, I remember someone said they got a letter 6 months after they downloaded a film.
How dangerous Is the company Markmonitor, if they're monitoring something is it a no go or?
