Post Game Thread: Penguins at Islanders - 12 Apr 2019

It's not the fact that the Penguins are down 2-0 in this series that has me concerned. It's how they got to be down 2-0 in this series that has me concerned. Is Bylsma still coaching this team, because I have yet to see one in game adjustment from Sullivan. What happened to just play? It feels like the Penguins are getting goated into the extra stuff. The Islanders are really under their skin. It seems like the Penguins don't have any interest whatsoever in being in the playoffs. There's no scoring from any line on the Penguins. This is just a continuation of the Capitals series last year where there was no secondary scoring. Malkin, Crosby, Guentzel, and the rest of the forwards have gone quiet.

The way the Penguins are going to win this series is if they don't get frustrated and try to force the play. The Islanders are really feeding off of the Penguins turnovers in the neutral zone, and at the blue line. The Penguins need to start dumping the puck into the Islanders zone, and then make the Islanders defense pay the price. The Penguins need to make simple and smart plays. The Penguins are going to have to play like the Islanders to beat the Islanders.
