Maybe I’m just trippin, but those who are back in school deal with this?

This is community college 101.

Kids don't care about the teacher or learning.. or even WHO paid for them to sit in the class and fail.

They pull out their phones and text with someone that they literally saw 5 minutes earlier.

They pull out their "vapes" and puff in class.

Etc, etc, etc, etc... I used my GI Bill from Fall 2011- Spring 2015 at a local community college and it is essentially "13th Grade"...

That's all it is... 30+ kids in a room usually and only about 5-8 actually give a fuck and want to learn.

You'll be sympathizing with the teachers if your anything like me.. Hell you might even SNAP and YELL at some kids once one of your teacher requires and assigns a GROUP project where you have to "rely" on these kids to do their part...
