Powerful US attorney who investigated Trump associates refuses to step down after Barr tries to push him out

This is the way the world ends (or at least the US), not with a bang, but with a whimper.

Trump and co. are challenging, or just down right ignoring, rules, regulations, and government policy. It is slowly chipping away at the social contract. If you say, oh it’s not all that big a deal, I’d refer you to the above quote.

How many things has he done where he didn’t follow the rules or norms, and you thought my world isn’t crumbling, it must not be a big deal? How many times have people, judges, attorneys, Republicans, come out and said he’s mucking us up? All those little whimpers, they seem to be pointing to the end of something. Call it fear monger, but I started thinking there’s something to it about 100 whimpers age.
