President Obama's Approval Rating Is the Highest in Years

but it is a lot better than been targeted and sometimes killed by police

It's a perception problem aided by a media complicit in pushing misinformation. For example, from the Washington Post, Whites account for 49% of those killed by police officers and blacks 24% but violent crime stats show completed acts of violent crime (the type of crime an officer would respond to with a gun) at 56.3% for whites and 28.3% for blacks. So blacks are shot by police at 85% of the rate of their violent crime while whites are shot at 87% the rate of their violent crime. It's about the same and doesn't support the racial persecution claimed by the left.

Now look closer at the first article I linked from the Washington Post and see how they report the numbers. They first ignore the difference in violent crime and assume an officer has equal reason to shoot. That's where they get their "blacks are 2.5 times more likely than whites to be shot" statistic from. It's a valid answer but not to the question of police bias. A few paragraphs later they admit there is a difference in violence but never revise this number to account for it, letting the inaccurate 2.5x figure stand and be shared. Instead they select sub-categories within violent crime that support their narrative. I could have done similar by selecting "robberies" from the data I linked for example which is massively tilted towards blacks but that would be dishonest. It's 'lies, damned lies, and statistics" territory.

It's a similar situation for the other issues but these are very big topics that are more suited for blog posts.

I didn't see Trump saying anything about fixing these issues, did you?

As the issues like killings by police stem from differences in violent crime, I believe his calls to restore law and order would fix it. Other Trump supporters would point to other parts of his platform but I believe cleaning up the crime would have the biggest impact here. I wouldn't even risk driving through Oakland today and I'm sure officers working there must be constantly on edge.
