A question about upgrade options

For SATA SSDs I prefer Crucial. They perform as good as the higher priced drives, but cost much less. You can get 1TB for under $100. Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT1000MX500SSD1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078211KBB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_EQ2B0W540B3Q0AFMEJ86?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

An SSD upgrade is one of the easier tasks. Just follow the steps here to prepare your copy of windows. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installation-media-for-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f-aa6f-40c3b507420d

Then it’s as easy as taking both of the cables plugged into your current HDD, and plugging them into your new SSD. Boot with your USB that you made plugged in and install windows and do all windows/driver updates.
