r/politics should be demonized just as much as r/the_donald was and it's name is misleading and should be changed. r/politics convenes in the same behaviour that TD did, brigading, propaganda, harassment, misleading and user abuse. It has no place on the frontpage until reformed.

I think what’s most concerning are many of the replies I’m reading in THIS thread to the OP. To a centrist like myself, it sort of proves his/her point. Doesn’t it? Comments about shills....about Russians...about Trump fanatics rolling over from the Donald?

Damn near half of my nation is conservative. Nearly a quarter are somewhere near the middle. Why would any group - left, right, or in between - wonder how a post like this gets upvoted so quickly? There are more than a hundred and fifty MILLION Americans who would agree with OP.

But alas, fuck it. This is why all I have these days is a couple of throwaways for the occasional post. This whole site became a cesspool back in 2015 or so. Such a tragedy, really...
