Well Lets do this Again I guess...
yes I find playing against the trap to be boring... its is a very effective strategy which is Very Easy to run - any noob can set up 1-4 strats then stand on their blue for the 0-5 and make it tough for even very skilled players to gain the zone.
Hockey is ALL ABOUT Finding Strategies to beat your opponent... its Amazing how so many people find it OKAY to stand there on Defense, yet TABOO To stand there on offense when there is ZERO Pressure on them.
"Just Dump and Chase" - Im 100% aware that this would be a great strategy in real life... but it just simply doesnt work guys. It just doesnt. maybe 1 out 5 times I would be LUCKY if I cleanly picked it up this way, otherwise I am hoping for the best to be close enough to rock the guy as soon as he touches the puck. if you disagree please record 1 full game of exactly how you do it - not 1 clip where you did it one time... one full game of you doing this so I can see how its done. - Trust me if I could expose this strategy with a simple dump and chase I would do it, but im not gonna toss you the puck 80% of the time just because you line up on your blue line with your AI.
Ultimately - Standing there makes the Trap Irrelevant - it "IS" a great strategy vs the trap, whether you like it or not. But you are just simply ignoring the other methods I have shown to beat the Trap because it doesnt support your point...... eg. Line Change, bait 1 AI, the Fake Slapper.... ALL of these provide movement and are only Encouraging my defender to move -Thats right, just move a lil - aka... You are "Standing There", exactly what you are upset with me doing lol - Also... None of these could happen (same with 'standing there') if my defender used any pressure at all on defense.
If you dont enjoy playing against my strategy... then I guess well... we are even because I dont really like your strategy either. - I however am constantly trying to find ways to beat yours... you are just refusing to adapt to mine, you would rather make reddit posts about it.
I can respect your opinion on the trap or my counter-strategies, whatever they may be... but the multiple people in here that constantly need to make it personal, toss names, attempt to taint my name and the list goes on... I just cant respect you at all.
