We’re a success story. Met a woman who expressed interest in me, but was very respectful about it. My wife and I had discussed the possibility in vague terms a while back, so they ended up meeting and talking it over. Everyone was clear about what they wanted and we went for it one night and had a blast. On our way home we were cracking up about how surreal it was and how we were “one of those couples,” now. Literally no downside— no hurt feelings, no awkwardness, no regrets. 10/10.

This was a year ago and our third stays in occasional touch, though she’s since met somebody and is happily married. My wife and I are doing very well. We both believe it actually made us closer. We have no immediate plans to do it again because we recognize that it took us meeting just the right sort of person and we’re not expecting lightning to strike twice.
