However 6% of deaths as the estimate seems incorrect because you cannot throw all the deaths of vulnerable populations out in the total. To do so seems like a half truth to push back against the authoritarian forced vaxxers, society and economy crushers.

So world death rate times population of USA would be one estimate of "Theoretical Covid19 total USA deaths".

Local characteristics will be a factor so deaths from Covid19 in vulnerable populations minus the expected numbers of deaths in those vulnerable populations would be an estimate of "Covid19 vulnerable USA deaths".

"Covid19 alone USA deaths" (12,000 you said) + "Covid19/vulnerable USA deaths" = "Estimated total Covid19 USA deaths".

Compare "Estimated total Covid19 USA deaths" versus "Theoretical Covid19 total USA deaths".
