The Rock talks facing Brock Lesnar at WM32, Is Roman Reigns ready to be champ, more

This is the attitude more fans should have.

The reason Reigns is criticized so harshly by fans is because he's not getting a main event push or a championship push, he's getting a top guy push. It's no secret that he's being groomed as the replacement to Cena, and obviously there's a higher standard for anyone in that position.

The characteristics that make a top guy, Reigns obviously lacks. He's not a good promo, he's not the most charismatic guy, he doesn't carry storylines, that sort of thing. He's a big guy with a good look who does badass things. And that works for any role except the top guy role. The top guy in the company has to talk, that's just the reality. And as much as I love Daniel Bryan, he's nowhere near a Cena-level promo either.

There's no guarantee at all that the Roman Empire will take off like wildfire. In fact, the future seems very, very uncertain for Roman Reigns. And that's not because of smarks or fans or mixed reactions, it's just that his skillset is not tailored for the position he's being put in, and that's what Rock is saying.

Is Reigns ready for the main event of Wrestlemania? Sure, there are few guys on the roster who aren't ready for that. Is he ready to replace John Cena? Absolutely not. Nobody is. But once he pins Lesnar and gets that title, Reigns has to sink or swim, and it'll be completely on him. The guy's been signed since 2010, he's been held in high regard from day one, and once Lesnar broke the Streak, the red carpet was rolled out for him. Wrestlemania's here, it's time for him to deliver on the investment WWE has made in him.

Don't think about REIGNSWINSLOL happening for the next ten years. Don't think about "The Roman Empire". Don't even think about whether or not he is ready or not. Cheer your favorites, boo those heels, and remember how many guys over the years have been given the ball and how few of them did anything with it. Reigns is the latest in a long line, and yeah, this is one of the biggest brass rings that Vince has ever handed out, but that doesn't mean anything.

Because at the end of the day, if he doesn't put asses in seats, pop crowds, move merch, and boost ratings, WWE will find a new guy.
