One day yes. It is just history repeating itself, as for how they are going to collapse is one of three ways imo:
1- Overthrown by another tribe (unlikely).
2- The royal family fight amongst themselves. Which will lead to breaking down the country to different parts ruled by different kings.
3- A random member of the current royal family turn everything upside down when he becomes a king and change the country to something completely different, it can be a good thing or worse than what we got at the moment.
The current royal family are very organized. Each important role in the country is being run by a royal family member. They also share the oil money amongst themselves (normal citizen gets nothing). My dear mother told me that a distant royal family member, a woman, receive $53k USD monthly. I also once heard that the crown royal family members are so god damn rich, they make Bill Gates wealth looks like pocket change.
So yeah they are happy with current break down of the money amongst themselves. The only thing that could tear them apart if two brothers fight over the ruling chair.
You can note I did not mention the citizens here. As in something like what happened in Egypt, people group up and band together to overthrown the current royal family. This is never going to happen, ever.
I based my claim on the land history back to years before Islam. The Arabs who lives in Saudi Arabia belong to different tribes. Each tribe got leaders that the people under them follow. These tribes will never accept that another tribe rule over them without a fight. By a fight I mean a bloody war. So they will never group up together and say "hey lets all band up together and protest for democracy".
Here is an old true story from the Arabs history before Islam. Around 1600 years ago, tribes used to gather every year for a horse race. Each tribe will bring forth their best rider and horse to win the honour of saying we got the best horse and horse rider.
Two huge tribes hated each others and were fighting overwho is the better tribe. So one of the racers told his tribe to wait at certain check point for the other tribe horse. If he was ahead of him they should throw stone at him until he slows down.
So they did and the guy who cheated with his tribe won the horse race. This caused the other tribe to go into nerd rage mode. Started a war that lasted 40 years with many tribes joining either side. The war almost made the Arabs extent over a god damn horse race.
Imagine if the fight is for who rules who.
