Saudi court upholds Raif Badawi's 10 years and 1,000 lashes for "insulting Islam through electronic channels"

Hey Ben Affleck, maybe if read the news and weren't so smug, you would have been able to listen to Sam Harris and Bill Maher's point about the fact that the very roots and teachings of Islam are anti-humanitarian! This is systemic, governmental institutionalization of Islam, and it is a horrible place to live for free thinkers.

In my opinion, a possible comparison could be the KKK. Is it a fair to judge everyone in the organization because a few bad apples burn crosses in people's private property and lynch some poor black people? I mean not everyone does it! They just agree with the organization's message, but don't act on it. Yet. So the answer is Fuck Yes you can judge people based on the teachings they adhere to whether they commit violence or not. It's the foundations of those teachings that breed violence. Do I and most people believe in their freedom to say and believe such asinine shit? Sure. However, I and others in agreement, are free to criticize those horrible, antiquated, divisive principles that people claim come from god and, furthermore, denounce them. I care about all those people as people and hope for them to be educated with reason leaving behind their violent, divisive, and anti progressive faith. I don't subscribe to any faith, but I would say Islam is the worst one given its historical and present actions based on its very teachings towards people who aren't Muslim or are critical of Islam.

Anyway, Ben, next time shut your mouth and let the person you're debating speak in order to actually hear what they're saying then ask questions to clarify you're understanding of that person's point. It's called active listening. Rant over now that my legs are numb from writing this during a poop.
