It seems many young men under 20 show up here to complain that they feel alone and undesirable, askmen- what do you have to say to these young men collectively?

You've got some nerve. Being emotional?

This exact text shows how emotional you are. The interesting thing is I never actually commented on your argument against using "bitch." I just wanted to criticize the notion of "people" and treating someone like a "person."

My argument was/is that: the treatment of every person on this Earth are related to their gender, age, and other variables. There is universal treatment. Behavior from children is not treated the same as behavior from adults. Certain behaviors and actions that women do, would receive drastically different responses if men did them. The inverse is also true.

You haven't responded to this point yet. My criticism is simple. If you want to make the argument that women shouldn't be called bitch, then you'll need to build in some way other than on the concept of "people".

My use of the term highlights the desire of women to not be called gender-based derogatory terms like those used above.

I'll now respond to your initial comments about bitch. I find your arguments against using the word bitch generally lacking. Context is often more important than a word. There are probably contexts where using acceptable words (nice, miss, sir, etc.) could be incredibly insulting. Derogatory terms (bitch, faggot, nigga/er, etc.) are nothing without meaning. There are cases where bitch, faggot, and nigger are used positively, often by their respective groups nonetheless (women, gays, and blacks). And there are cases where these words are used negatively.

Now that I've pointed out the issues of arguing against a blanket use of the derogatory words, there's the issue of arguing against usage with regards to women. In this case there are positive and there are there are negative usages. These usages are generally built around ideas that people want to describe (of a woman being good, a woman being bad, etc.). The main issue here is describing or creating a compelling argument that the usage of bitch (with regards to women) is harmful to women rather than the negative context with which it is used.
