[Serious] Redditors who've survived a kidnapping: What's your story?

I have a story very similar to yours. I would say I was also 12 or 13 at the time and I too lived in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood so quiet infact that their would rarely be people walking or biking through.

So at little back story... My parents are divorced so I would alternate between houses every other weekend. (The house I described above is my dad's) so I remember when I was at my dad's house I would often see this middle aged man probably around 30-35 years old who would always be wearing all black ride his bike by my house.

So one day I was at my dad's house and I decided to go outside and practice baseball. Beside my dad's house there is a small park so I would often go there and bounce a tennis ball off the wall of the house and catch it. So I am busy throwing my ball and it had a bad bounce and went farther into the park. So I go chasing after my ball and just as I pick it up I see the man in all black ride up in his bike. I distinctly remember making eye contact with him and right as I did he stopped his bike. He through his bike down on the ground and started coming towards me staring right at me. I was frozen in fear for about 5 seconds and finally realized what was happening and started to run back to my house keeping as much distance as possible. As I got nearer to my house I saw the man run back to his bike and ride away. I ran into my room instantly and I was so traumatized I couldn't get myself to tell my parents. I could barely processed what happened.

The one thing that really scares me about this is that I had seen this man in my neighborhood about 4 or 5 times before and after what happened I never saw him again. And that really gets me for some reason and its been 7 years since this happened.
