I'm semi-local to a pretty well-known school and have attended a few programs there. Over the course of one week, 2 different students got hit by vehicles. Completely unrelated incidents. It got picked up by the news pretty quick, and was a seriously scary couple of weeks. One was hit by an out-of-control car swerving to avoid him and was taken to hospital and I believe he recovered as it wasn't anything serious, just some fractures. But he was the second of two, and the first was hit head on by a bus that straight up didn't see her and died on the scene. It was an accident but school was let out for a little bit and the bus driver was suspended. No one likes to talk about it anymore, but I did hear that a few months later, another student was hit around the same area and ended up in critical condition. Not sure what happened to him, it was a while ago.
