I think I had a true out of body experience or possible lucid dream / astral projection once.
I went to a college that ran round the clock, and never had a proper sleep schedule during my stay. One night I head home for my 6 hours of sleep I hopefully got every other day. Smoked a doobie before turning off the lights and laying down...nothing special or new at that time. My tolerance even with little sleep was pretty strong.
I lay down, it takes me about 10 mins to drift off. But when I did I got this feeling as if I lifted about four feet above my bed...but I could almost feel the weight of myself in the air. I'm not in a special dreamland...nope im floating in my tiny apartment.
I honestly don't know if I was fully asleep or awake, but it was an incredible feeling. My mind was firing off the combination of awesomeness and fear riding a bike without training wheels for the first time feels like.
So I get over the floating sensation, and wonder if I can move. I can, I like float into the living room....my mind is blown. I had one of those big pillow chairs that was shaped like a bowl....I floated over to it and landed in it. But when I plopped into the chair...everything felt so real. So real that I jolted awake still in my bed...heart racing.
TO this day no dream has ever felt the way that one did...
To me that's creepy in a surreal cool way. Here's some nightmare fuel for some of you just in case the above does not qualify as creepy enough.
We were about 14-16 and my cousin lived in the "country". I can't say "the woods" because we live in a desert pains area. The great South West! It was a place far enough away we could shoot guns, drive go karts anywhere etc. We stayed the night out there a lot...most of the times we would sleep on top of the Trampoline or in a tent.
One night pretty early, we get interrupted by a terrible noise a few hundred yards away. Not quite the sound of a Jackrabbit crying (which can sound like a baby crying)...but more like a calf or goat or something...screaming bloody murder.
Usually you will hear a pack of Coyotes yelping and whatnot. Not this time...just screams.
We had one of those old school big ass 6v battery / flashlights but usually you can see better in the dark.
The family dog, a chocolate lab named Jake was with us, and now he was on edge and growling.
We load the .22s just incase...Jake was never this riled up.
There we are, two teens and Jake the dog. listening to some animal get eaten by something about 100yds away from us in the darkness, and all of a sudden the growls turn to barks. FUrious ones...excpet he's backing up not chasing.
I'm aiming the 22 rifle in the direction Jake was barking, and my cousin finally flips the flashlight on.
60 yds out into the field of Mesquite brush and cactus....eyes reflect back at us but that's all we see. Two eyes...Two BIG FUCKING EYES....LIKE FOOTBALL BIG..
I fired the gun in fear much like when something pops out at you in a scary game like resident evil. and we all ran inside...Most people are like "BRO YOU SAW A CHUPACABRA" but really...I have no idea what the fuck it was but it didn't feel natural. It still creeps me out...
