I remember having this reoccurring starting when I was 4 up to when I was 7 where some kind of monster would start out blurry, but keep on getting more clear over the course of about 30 seconds. The first time I saw it, I got really scared because... it was a monster and I was 4 years old. I remember having some kind of heart attack, just a second of extreme fear, then it went away. I still had it in the back of my mind, with the thought of how scary it was. The dream came back occasionally. The feeling of the dream was developed into others and the type of fear turned into some kind of jump scare to me. About a year after that, when I was about 5 or so, I was able to realize when it was going to happen, but there was nothing I could do about it. I basically just said to myself: ah shit. This again? It really sucked since I just couldn’t do anything about it. I later just stopped having that kind of dream. Even though I don’t experience it anymore, I’m scarred.
