Should I stay military?

Anticipated annual expenses?

"No mortgage" does this mean it's paid off or you will have to take one out when you leave service?

SWR on $1.7M is $68k + $7200 (spouse's disability) + $18,000 (your stated disability estimate)= $93,200. Can you live off that? It isn't going to give fatFIRE standard of living.

If your house is paid off, very doable. If not, may be a close call.

I'll retire next year from military w 24 years and a $70k pension. I ended up doing an extra 3 year tour for location and to bump up.the pension while letting investments grow. I'm much more confident with the plan now w/ $2.5M saved and $70k pension than ($100k SWR + $70k) than I was when facing retirement at 21 years with $50k and approaching $2M. I stayed in for the extra peace of mind and improved standard of living post service.
