US slaps sanctions on Chinese firm over North Korea ties

News outlets specifically designed their broadcasts to trigger our strong emotions to danger, fear, morbid curiosity, etc. We evolved to be interested in things like that because knowing about it could help us survive, and news stations used that to hook people over other stations that were just presenting regular "news".

Do you think heroin has molded itself to the needs of our society? Or just that is exploits our biology in a way that after one use makes us need it again and again?

Sure I still blame humanity for news being shit now-a-days, but where you blame the audience for it, I lean more towards blaming the greedy exploitative executives. Both are still humans, so it more are less the same, but I still think MOST people aren't complete pieces of shit.

Also, if you say that "we" stopped caring about [good news] a long time ago, then why did you even make your post and call it a shame? And why do people agree with you? Your comment is just extreme negativity and broad sweeping claims, which coincidentally reminds me of our modern day news.
