SpaceX shipment of Starlink satellite internet dishes arrives in Ukraine, government official says

I work in telecom. From Highschool digging fiber ditches to college summer aligning MW hops/installing 4g, to now working on the fund allocation/pre-construction due diligence. I get it.

My issue is, despite the clear corruption, bloat, stagnation, traditional networks are never beholden to a dude.

As I've repeatedly said, I support this specific action, admire the tech, and will soon be using it daily. It's amazing. The jump is influence/leverage in these timescales in this geopolitical climate. AT&T and the like are public, which obviously brings it's own set of problems (I've literally been pulled off jobs from congressional funding spats), in principle, I cannot be comfortable with a single person owning the majority of voting shares in a private company deciding who/when/where internet happens.

But anyone else can setup microwave towers or fiber optic cables to provide internet the traditional way.

You got build out money and spectrum allocation? I have crews ready to roll.
