[spoilers s5ep5] guys I caught something in the ep5 sneak peek

I'm not sure if it will be Valyria, or at least the Valyria we hear most often about.

I buzzkill on this because, as it happens in the books, they (tyrion, JonCon and Co.) pass through the bridge, a struggle happens with stone men, and their on their way again. Well, that's a very watered down account. I don't want our first look at Valyria to be either about the stone men, or that short.

At least to me I feel it deserves more than to be disease-village. I like the mystery it has right now and I want out look at it to have something to do with Valyria, not stone men. If we do see it in the books, I hope we see something to do with the history of Valyria, or something new which opens more questions and answers.

As well as that, I am afraid there are some loopholes in the idea of a row boat going through the smoking sea... If show smoking sea would be the same as book smoking sea, who would ever chance that? Would the water not contain sulfuric acid from the volcanic activity? Also it's reported the place is infested with Krakens. Surely Tyrion would warn Jorah of his uncle who never returned from the smoking sea? Jorah is has at least basic wisdom, and plans to get to danaerys without dying so I don't see why he'd take this chance. How could even stone men live there, the place should be like inhospitable to anyone, I imagined.

Maybe I'm wrong about all of this. Maybe there's no way around? I'm poking holes in something I haven't even seen yet, so I'm not gonna sigh just yet. Maybe the show will change the specifics, which wouldn't be that big a deal. Perhaps they're only at some outskirtish part of Valyria where the threats aren't as strong. Perhaps the scene will be so good none of this will matter. We'll see in due time.
