Some fan fiction I wrote in about after looking at the art.

A monster is causing a problem nearby. The girls are discussing how to handle it.

Lux: "W-wait.. We shouldn't just charge into it. We aren't sure what it is capable of."

Poppy: "Out of my way!"

Poppy: "You coward. If you won't move, then I will!"

Lux: "But.."

Poppy: "Lux, there are people down there who need us."

Poppy starts charging down the field.

Lux: "I.."

Lux looks down as she clutches her staff.

Janna walks behind Lux. She puts her head on Lux's head.

Janna: "You aren't in the wrong Lux."

Lux: "I.."

Janna: "The people are important, but so is keeping a clear mind. Okay?"

Janna tries to look into Lux's eyes. They never meet.

Lux: "I-I'm just trying to keep her safe!! Why can't she understand that!"

Lux: "Lulu! Jinx! Let's go!"

Janna: "Ah.."

Jinx: "Heh, now you're speaking my language Sunshine."

Jinx and Lulu run off to follow Lux.

Janna: "What happen to caution?"

Lux: "We can do this!"

Janna: "You don't know that.."

Janna looks to the sky.

Janna: "... #####. It won't happen again. I'll be sure of it."

Janna sets off to follow behind them.

*Fight ensues. Poppy gets incapacitated. Lulu has a nervous breakdown. Jinx is still enjoying the fight while Janna supports the remaining members. Janna has a flashback to her previous squad. She decides to knock the younger girls away and unleash the powers that come with being an SG. Powers that the young girls are yet to even know about. It isn't enough to instantly kill their enemy, but it is enough to seemingly turn the tide of battle. Lux sees an opening and makes a "greedy play" thinking that it would end the fight. It does not. It infact leads to Lux getting injured. More action happens with the fight ending with Janna sacrificing herself in someway. This causes Lux to freak out and question her ability as a leader. etc etc
