What did you turn in for the Meniere’s claim? What are your symptoms?

Did you get a diagnosis of Meniere’s from an otolaryngologist or specialist?

Meniere’s seems to have been ticking up in claims lately which is a bit odd being that it is not all that common of a disease. But it is important to document Meniere’s correctly if you are expecting to get service connect. It is more important to document things correctly if you want to get a fair rating. For Meniere’s, you need to show a log kind of like you fo with migraines. Documentation that shows the severity, frequency and duration of your attacks is very important. Skipping this type of documentation will surely mean a denial.

There are key things they look for in Meniere’s, and one of the is sensorineural hearing loss.

Another tip for Meniere’s: it’s a tough one to connect sometimes if you are already out of service and don’t have items listed in your service records (stuff like the tinnitus, vertigo, etc). Meniere’s is a Disease where there is no true nexus for how you get it. If docs don’t know what set it off, it’s hard to service connect it later down the road being their is no one certain thing that causes the disease.

Hope that helps a little. Here’s a good link for MD Meniere’s

I track my episodes via the migraine buddy app.
