Why do we still care about sex in the modern world?

Sex; the bliss is a lot longer, the feeling of the ejaculation is stronger and lasts for longer, and leaves me, more often than not, shaking and groaning.

The period of orgasm (ejaculation) still lasts about the same time. Maybe one or two seconds longer at most?

I don't particularly think that's worth the time and money of getting laid, and of course the time spent AFTER getting laid.

Especially since, when I jack off, I don't even feel like having sex anymore. Desire = quenched.

Sex is a rising, ever-increasing mountain of pleasure that reaches intense and almost unbearable heights where it finally plateaus, before slowly coming back down again.

Meh, I think you're making it sound all romantic. But it's essentially two people slapping their junk together until friction does it's job and nothing else.

I think this is more of a placebo affect for you than anything else. An orgasm is an orgasm is an orgasm.

For the majority of the world it seems not to be the case.

Well the desire for sex is quite literally what has built our civilization - men take gigantic risks in pursuit of fame and resources just so they can get pussy.

I'm simply questioning whether or not it's worth it.

And I think if you really weigh the amount of time and resources you spend on pursing an orgasm that is over pretty much as soon as it starts, the return on investment doesn't measure up.
