Probably your job situation.Try to consolidate into one job, for less gas money and less wasted time. You said "tips", so you have experience in the service industry? Find a nights/weekends server job with hours that work with your school schedule. And be the guy (girl?) who will pick up Friday or Saturday night shifts when they're available.

And ditch the unpaid writing gig if you don't have time for it. It's an unpaid writing gig, you're a student. Someone's taking advantage of your effort, whatever it may be.
