Xander Schauffele wins the 2019 Sentry Tournament Of Champions

I think I heard it mentioned once that Rory matched that 0-6 on Sunday with a lead just last year. It does speak to how good he can be to have at least a share of the lead going into Sunday 6 times in a single year- but what does it say about his mental toughness when he failed to convert all 6 times?

I'm not sure about Woodland's stat, but although Rory's been in the final pairing 6 times last year it was never with the lead.

So it's not that he's never "converted" which I assume to mean converted a 54-hole lead into a 72-hole win. But he's failed to chase down the leader 6 times. It must be a depressing stat to be so close and fall short so many times but I have no idea how it is for other top players. How often does a player who is 2nd in the final pairing on Sunday catch the leader and win?

It didn't happen in any major last year. 3 out of 4 times, a player with the 54-hole lead won it. Molinari won the Open but he was 5th going into Sunday and in the 3rd pairing.
