Stunt driver killed in accident on Deadpool 2 set in Vancouver

My parents (including my stepfather) all rode. I had it drilled into my head from their stories of other drivers almost killing them, actually hitting them, etc, how dangerous it was for riders and how rarely other vehicles leave enough room or are even aware of them. I have a cousin who is now forever trapped in the mind of like a 7 year old due to a motorcycle crash where she was a passenger and suffered brain damage. The impact threw her off the back and headfirst into a pole. Helmet split open, and so did her head.

I never have and never will ride myself, but I always make sure to leave a generous space for anyone on a motorcycle in front of or in the lane next to me, and I always try to maintain a very conscious awareness of where the bikers are at all times when they come up by my car.

But also, for every careful biker I've seen in my city (and to be fair, it's by far the majority), there's also the complete fucking morons that swerve and dart between cars on the freeway and it never fails to infuriate me how reckless they are to themselves and everyone else. Tiny, seemingly insignificant shit can be profoundly dangerous on a bike and yet some people still ride like a crazy person and just tempt fate.
