Summary execution of a homeless man by a police death squad

If I may put my 2 cents in from my security job, I see no issue here other than over precaution, 2 armed men is enough, I'm a mall security and our standard is 2 men for each confirmed threat or suspicion. There was at min I counted 4 or this one man, idk why but I guess a group was dispatched, the head officer orderd the man to wake up and stand down, the man instead disobeyed and went onto the bench, there for raising alarms, by now safeties are off, once you see movement (hostile or not) you are called to be armed and ready to fire, hostile was confirmed to have gun shaped object on them, alarms are raised more, target is currently in the green for disengagement, the man then reached for said gun shaped item, even tho it was conserded a BB gun, still, you can't take that risk, target was confirmed hostile and killed due to the factor that protocol is to shoot to either disable or disarm hostile target to lessen civilian casualties. This team was not in the wrong. They did what we are trained to do, follow protocol and follow orders
