LE knows who took Summer. They simply have no "probable cause," as defined by law...the laws in this country need to change, or have exceptions as inclusions. A search warrant in TN, may only be issued if there is probable cause, which means findings that lead to THAT person committing a crime.

SO...could LE "storm the gates," and go get Summer, dead or alive, if they "know," where she is based on their gut? Sure...but they'd be doing so illegally and an attorney would have 0 problem getting the case dismissed, letting the perp go free to do it again, because protocol wasn't followed, and laws were broken to get her.

Could they "ask nicely," to search this person's home? Sure...but if the person declines, LE has just given the perp every reason in the world, to kill Summer if they haven't already, or to move her body if she's already deceased.

I totally believe LE knows what happened, but they're STUCK because they have nothing of evidentiary value, to get a search warrant or a "no-knock." No judge or magistrate is going to sign off on that. They need evidence or an eye witness account to give the probable cause they NEED, and they have neither.

Right now, I believe LE is waiting for this piece of excrement to slip up, or for someone with legit info, to step forward.

This country is WAY too engrossed in preserving the rights of ALL, than they are with protecting the rights of an innocent child who may or may not be in someone's clutches.
