China already said they will defend Taiwan no matter the cost. They will go to war for it. It seems the issue isn’t Taiwan, it the people running Taiwan. China needs TMSC just as much as we do.

And TBH we don’t have the leverage to enact any type of defense or aggression. Our economy is so intertwined along with our manufacturing that we can’t afford to FA&FO.

AFAIK a good bit of Chinas population have risen to middle class. A good portion of their economy could be sustained just off this. It may not be the powerhouse it once was but it could sustain non-the-less.

The very last thing we need is for them to call on all our debt sold to them. Last time I looked our National Debt equaled about $60K per person in the US, and around $90K per tax payer. IDK about you but I don’t have $60K, much less $90K just laying around.
