Tantrum Tuesday - The Day to Rant!

I have been overweight since almost as long as I can remember. Not obese, but always overweight. I cannot remember the number of times I have tried to lose weight. The best I did was last year before I got married. I reached 157 Lbs and was so happy. I did it by following the Turbo Fire program and counting calories.

After I got married, as I stay in India where it's common to stay with your in laws, I stayed with my husband's parents. That's when the weight gain started again. I was stressed out all the time. I hated eating food at home so my husband and I ate out every day. Since we lived really far for work, I left every day at 8 AM and reached back home around 12 PM everyday so rarely worked out. My husband's family loves to eat and do not make very healthy choices at that. Although at first I tried to educate everyone on the importance of eating healthy and break some of the bad habits everyone had, I realized with time that it was futile and I kind of fell in the same boat and started living the same lifestyle. All this led to me reaching my current weight of 176 Lbs :(

Sorry for the rant but I felt like I needed to get it out. The good part is my husband and I have moved to our own place now which is must closer to work. We are cooking almost all out food and rarely eat out. We have both been counting calories and making so many healthy decisions! We have also both just started with the C25K program this week and are really excited about it! I am feeling very positive and have been the happiest since I got married! I have lurked on this subreddit since always and I feel good to finally write my first post here! You guys are amazing and reading about your positive comments on other people’s posts as always made me feel very encouraged. Thank you!
