There are 300,000 more never married Asian men than Asian women in the US despite there being 900,000 more Asian women in general. Current white/asian hapa population in the US is over 2 million.

Good point comparing ratios between races, but the similarity with white data only shows how interracial marriages in general, for both white and Asian women, end up with more divorces and separation. An alternative is that there are so many interracial marriages for both Asian and white women that there are many, though not a significant amount, of separation and divorces.

Marriage, divorce, and separation in heterosexual unions affect both men and women. If a WM and WF marry, or separate then that would count as both as a WM and WF bring married/separated. Therefore, the discrepancies between genders in the fields of marriage, divorce, and separation, within one race all result from marriage outside of that race. The white women's discrepancies in separation and divorce come from marriages with other races, which statistically is most likely to be with black men. Otherwise one side would be balanced by the other.

However, you may be correct about widowhood. For one spouse to die does not require the other too, hence the statistic where more women in general becoming widows than men. I was just shocked at how large the discrepancy was, but the white widowhood statistic is quite large, though not as large, too.
