Thorin on Twitter: How convenient that TyLoo got one of the easiest groups at WESG, while a bunch of EU teams got banged into a hard one.

I don't see what's so bad about it. Yeah, VP and nV are in the same group, but seeing as 3 get through to the next round, it should be ridiculously easy for them to stomp on the other teams that have various players thrown together, and then I'm assuming the bracket is set up so they will be on opposite sides if they are first and second in the groups.

In other words, one of them can lose to the other early on, but as a result not have to face each other until much later in the tournament where the games will really matter for them. As the groups stand, no decent team should struggle to get through, so it shouldn't matter much if 2 good teams are in there.

Even epsilon has a VERY good chance of making it out since they are a full team. If they lose to 5 russian players put together on a team, then they were pretty fucked to begin with. And I'm not trying to use the logic of "you have to beat everyone to win the event" which is flawed. I'm just saying their group really isn't bad even if you give them an auto loss to VP and nV.

Obviously it's not a great group with that in mind, but nevertheless it should still be easy for them to beat the other teams that were thrown together, and maybe even upset one of the two stronger teams.
