It's not that SKT is that much better than the rest of the LCK, it's that Faker is by far the best player in the world, that he can take an 'off-meta' pick like Riven,Irelia,Yi mid and dominate teams. You're also implying that Faker played off-meta picks for the entire season, which he didn't. SKT's teamfighting and macro is some of the best in the world, so they can go into a game against an equally skilled team and still make that team look like bronze 5 because of how well they play as a team.

This is coming from a huge Patriots fan, Brady didn't do it all by himself, Belichick is just as important to Brady's success that Brady is to Belichicks.
