This happened years ago. 26 get a call to say my GF has gone into labour. It’s 1.30am but I know labour can take a while so I take some time to wake up before setting of on a long drive. 40 minutes into the drive, on the motorway I see a guy in the central reservation. I thought he was a workman at first but then I notice a car stopped in the outside lane of the opposite side of the motorway. I’m doing 65mph. As I’m one lamppost away he jumps over the barrier and throws himself in front of my car.

I pull over as soon as I can and walk back up the hard shoulder. I see other drivers pull in to. By this point the individual had been knocked into the hard shoulder by the other cars/trucks that had hit him. His body is as you can only imagine and three of us comfort him as he takes his last breath. The most surreal moment of my life. Hope you are coping OP.
