TIL in 2016, it was discovered that Beyonce's "Empower Women" clothing line was made by women sweat shop labourers working on less than £5 a day.

Free markets are the only one that worked. That's probably not a coincidence.

What did you read that had anything to do with free markets? Oh that's right, I forgot man invented fire because of the FREE MARKET! Socrates influence on ol' Plato: FREE MARKET! The broken part of your logic is you also make it sound like the FREE MARKET advocates for slavery on any level, which it doesn't. Protections from broken/self-serving/diminishing economic policy can come from regulations (which, despite the word FREEEDOMMM, do not actually hamper the market) OR, and here's the brilliant kicker about "belief," from the actual CONSUMER and from the people. I don't buy products from shitty companies, bam! My effect (1.0E-20) was felt, add the magnitude of an actual movement (and look around at some trends.. your values are becoming the minority) and you will start to see less sweat shops.

Or hey, why do you think this article got so many upvotes? Because we're all content with Beyoncé? From the words of the wise, ya'll Crazy (in love).
