TIL: Judy Garland was put on a diet while filming The Wizard of Oz. That diet, consisted of chicken soup, coffee, and ... 80 cigarettes a day. She was 16 years old.

To that guy. To the guy who hadn't said shit to you till then. You said he said some shit to you. Which he hadn't, until then.

Actually, he had said shit to me. Look at my comment history; several of my comments are replies to his comments.

Sure, you're allowed to, but how would you?

By ignoring any of their beliefs that I don't agree with and enjoying the kickass music. It's really not that hard.

Uh, wow. Yeah, they totally are. That's, like, all their music is about, man. Have you heard, like, anything they've said, ever?

Yeah, I have. I still don't think they're constantly preaching their political opinions because they're not telling people who to vote for or preaching that you have to support whoever they agree with.

And no, that's not what all their music is about. They have plenty of songs that have nothing to do with politics.

I'm pretty sure that's not the case.

Prove it.

Because their music is about leftist hippy bullshit like prying open your third eye, the consequences of ignoring global warming, the fuckups of religion, the unfortunate blinders they believe religious people wear, pro-drugs, anti-ignorance, pro-science, anti-loudmouth fucktard cowards, pro- the evolution of mankind's consciousness and the path of empathy?

I don't disagree will all of those things, just so you know. I don't like religion that much either, I consider myself to be pro-drugs (to an extent) and pro-science, and I think global warming is a problem. Those are just a few examples, but I think you get the point.

And I wouldn't consider all of those things to be "leftist hippy bullshit," either. I think it's possible for a right-leaning person to be anti-religion and pro-science, for instance.

What-in-the-hell anything about anything they've ever said or done has ever made you think "Yeah these guys are cool with my political views"?

They might not be cool with all of my views, but I still doubt that they're going to be telling me that I can't enjoy their music anymore anytime soon because I'm anti-BLM and I support Trump. And like I said above, I don't disagree with everything they say.

Fuckin' Paul Ryan got interviewed and said he was a fan of Rage Against the Machine, and they then told him to go fuck himself!

It was only Tom Morello who told him to "go fuck himself," not the entire band.

And rightfully so, he goes against literally everything they've ever stood for!

"Rightfully so" is debatable. Personally, I think Morello was being a jackass when he did that. Your opinion is not an objective truth.

Why the hell would you listen to people shouting about things that tell you to go fuck yourself and everything you represent?

See above what I said about not disagreeing with all of their opinions.

Yeah that's what a lot of Republican-voting "independents" say just so they can say that, like it means a goddamn thing.

I'm registered as an Independent and until Trump announced he was running for president I'd never considered voting for a Republican in my life. I think it means something because you implied that I was a Republican with that rhetorical question, which I'm really not. I felt I had to correct you because you were wrong.
