TIL the New Mexico whiptail lizard is an all-female species. Their eggs grow without fertilization and all the offspring are female. They also have female-female courtships.

The line already exists. There's animal, and then there's human. Primates and Humans are two distinct species.

Honestly it is hard to tell if you are delusional or a troll. You are blatantly lying without any evidence to support your claim. Humans are most certainly Primates. Seriously, we are in the Order Primates. To not believe we are primates basically means you support the scientific findings of the Middle Ages. At this point you might as well embrace the heliocentric universe and join the Flat Earth Society.

Evolution is an unproven theory prioritized by minds that seek to sway people from God.

Sigh. If you even read the Bible you should be swayed from God. Generally somewhere about where he codified the rules of beating your slaves and raping women you should have wondered if it was just bullshit. Evolution is a theory the way gravity is a theory. You have absolutely not evidence in your corner, you have Ken Ham and your parents telling you one thing and then a massive collection is brilliant scientists trying to get through past your indoctrination. There are an absurd number of contradictions in the Bible alone, without any need to look to science. If you were to actually think about your faith rationally, you might wonder how Joshua made Sun stand still (something the Church used to support heliocentrism for hundreds of years) far before you dig into how absurd the Biblical understanding of biology is. Hell, Jesus claims the Mustard Seed is the smallest seed, this is provably false.

Not according to the Bible, it isn't. That's the entire point. The biblical timeline doesn't agree with a standard humanist timeline that's posed as currently "accurate" by the scientific community.

Ok, so the Bible makes provably false claims (that are in contradiction with itself and with rationality/science. How do you know the Bible is true? You think it is true because it says so, which I would hope you recognize is the fallacy of circular logic. More importantly, the Bible isn't a single document. Most of the New Testament was cobbled together by the early church without much understanding about how relevant the texts actually were (seriously, take a class in Early Christian History). More importantly, the Biblical timeline doesn't fit with Biology, Geology, History, Astronomy, or Chemistry. This is not surprising because it is written with all the knowledge a bunch of iron age zealots could muster in a desert.

I disagree that God "controls all the variables." He can, but he also lets the chips fall as they may if just to teach us how to trust him. We're not machines. He wants us to choose to follow him, and the Bible clearly indicates that trusting God isn't easy.

This is the kind of garbage I heard repeated over and over in church (yes, I was a true believer for ages). If God controls all things, he cannot 'let the chips fall where they may'. By being able to intervene and not always intervening he is controlling every variable (have you never heard of the Trolley Problem?!). In fact, he knowledge of everything and the future means that he created Adam to do exactly what Adam did. Please tell me you trust enough science to understand basic cause and effect. God created a reality where he knew exactly who would go to hell for eternity and he set in motion this brilliant series of dominoes to create that end. I saw you were getting wrecked in another thread about free will, I can assure you that if you can control for all variables you can basically ensure any result. At least a Calvinist would be theologically consistent on this point.

Besides, what kind of psychopath let's us choose to follow him or be forever tortured? Does that sound like even a reasonable test? How about the countless souls that never learned of God and still will be punished? Please try and actually evaluate your faith before spewing it on to others. Even a well trained Christian wouldn't pretend to understand predestination.

They were deceived by the fallen angel Lucifer into disobeying God just as he did.

Read the old Testament dude, that was just a talking snake. If what was the whole plot of that story, it feels like introducing the main characters would have be a logical move. Sure in later fan-fictions they ret-conned it but again you are spouting off things without really knowing the text. This story is also important because it teaches children why snakes don't have legs, a very common theme in creation myths around the world. But again, God knew the snake would do that and that Adam would be tempted to sin (because God knows everything). Can you not see how silly your argument is?

This brought sin into the world, corrupting Man, the earth he lived on and, I personally believe, the entire rest of Creation with death and decay, including all the other worlds in the universe.

Yup so God sprung a trap he set for the express purpose of teaching his play things a pointless lesson or torturing them for all eternity (the consequences of which he knew would happen). If it sounds like I am repeating myself it is because your reasoning kind of just spins in circles. At least in Zoroastrianism they have a reason for God(s) being so evil. Hell, the Bible makes it clear that God could destroy Satan at any time so it is silly to blame him or pretend he does anything without God's express approve (try reading Job for once).

You blather on for a while about Bible stuff as though we don't know the well plod route of the Sunday school propaganda. You don't seem to get that there was no real reason for the Old Testament. Why not send Jesus earlier and save millions (if not billions) from eternal torture? Why have the book of Leviticus talk about how much women suck and how unclean they are? A reasonable outside perspective is this. Part 1 of the 'Bible' was written Hebrew scholars, poets, and historians and doesn't really have much of a plot other than how the Israelites are God's chosen people (a common story in most ancient cultures). There isn't really a heaven or hell in the Old Testament, nor is there a need to proselytize. In reality, its mostly a cultural history and a way to justify the military atrocities they committed. Part 2 of the 'Bible' sees an upstart prophet that has different ideas about how humanity should live but needs an ancient text to grant him credibility (almost sound exactly like Muhamed and Joseph Smith...). While there are some through lines and some later scholars that pretend like ancient prophecies were fulfilled (ask yourself why Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John have so many contradictions), the basic gist is that the old agreements are not needed any more and that there is a new set of expectations. This is all very common in cults when leadership changes hands.

The OT was there to create a very strong foundation for the New. By setting a series of laws for the Jewish people (initially the Ten Commandments, but that's later increased by the Priesthood as detailed in the likes of Leviticus)

Sigh. There were actually three versions of the Ten Commandments, go and take a look. Old Testament God was quick to anger and envy, a pretty fiery personality really. If you actually ready Leviticus you would realize all the rules you are citing were written by God via the priests and most of them are useless and absurd (I mentioned the beating and raping earlier).

I can only say these things after being a Christian for 30 years and experiencing some pretty gnarly things in life. If you have more questions, I'll be happy to answer them!

Look, I may come off as angry because you basically hate anything that contradicts your perceived version of your holy book but at the end of the day I feel bad you live this way. This isn't truth, there may be some nice parts and some interesting ideas but you have been living a lie. It is important to examine life, to live an ethical meaningful life. Decrying science and investing so much energy in fallacies and backwards cultural standards is not worth anyone's time. Christianity is waning in the Western world, due in part to places like Reddit. It is one thing to have a private faith and spirituality to buoy your spirits, it is another to spout of irrational claims based on a deeply flawed book. If I would have one suggestion for you, it would be to learn about other religions. See the similarities, realize the faith that drives Buddhist Monk to extreme deprivation or an ISIS member to martyrdom is greater than your own. Ultimately you will not wrestle with what I say because it comes down to your faith, but just know they have it in greater amounts and you think they are the confused ones. Humanity deserves better than this nonsense.
