I used it in canada & england, with a radius of 3 miles in england and a much bigger radius in canada (that's because I visited various places).

Fairly picky when swiping but that doesn't matter, I believe. The profiles it shows you are based on how "attractive" your profile is seen. To my knowledge, the algorithms work that way at least. Note, I'm saying "profile" and not you personally. You don't have to be physically attractive to have a desired profile.
