The worst part here is to see how bad the guy is when it is needed communication. The conversation obviously turned into an emotional one, however the guy was to shallow and empty minded to be able to engage and be part of that exchange as well. People have insecurities, it is normal, if you cannot deal with emotions, you probably should not be dating but first going to therapy and looking for some help and understanding on empathy. You are indeed not responsible to anything form her, but the way you reacted was just awful. Glad to know she didn't want to proceed with your date. You are not ready to know people or to even have real conversation that required some emotional depth.
