Today The United Kingdom decides whether to remain in the European Union, or leave

It's exactly the same mindset as Trump. The English are sick of the Muslims coming over and don't want any more. Having lived in London and knowing plenty of English people, there are a LOT of immigrants there and there is a lot of racial tension between minorities. Look how the riots were in London a few years back. Look at the cases of FGM, the increases in racial crime etc. as the the population of immigrants increases. The English are sick of this, and to the less informed commoner with little knowledge of the bigger picture, like the type of American who would vote for Trump except English, they see the EU as being the problem with allowing open borders for these immigrants to enter. And by leaving the EU the borders can be shut and the English can start taking their country back. The vast majority of the brexit is basically the English wanting to shut their borders down to immigrants - which is fair enough and completely understandable - but leaving the EU is probably the wrong way of going about it.
