We put a marker around it and imposed the idea of a country, no one there sees it such as. Its a collection of tribes, with different languages and histories taht are so geographically isolated they don't respect centralized control.

That said, they built a university, began economics trade and even joined the league of nations for a while. They had a western educated king as well.

So there were signs there, people traveled there. Its just beyond what you're willing to look at? I'm not saying it was some Rome, I'm saying they were taking steps towards a different world.

Likewise if we were to get attacked at all angles and fell into anarchy, that would change whose in charge and open many holes in our society.
